Ingredients:
25-30 big prawns
1 onion medium
3-4 flakes garlic
1 tsp mustard seeds
Few Springs curry leaves
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
1/2 cup fresh coconut grated, 1 small ball tamarind
For Paste:
8-9 bedagi dry chilli
2 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
4-5 fenugreek seeds.
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
Method:
1. Clean the prawns by removing its head, shell and deveining.
2. Dry roast the above spices and grind them to powder, then add 1/2 onion sliced, garlic and tamarind, little water and grind to paste.
3. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves and 1/2 finely chopped onion. When golden brown pour the ground paste.
4. Add little water and stir. Close lid and let cook the masala on slow flame for 3-4 minutes.
5. Now add the prawms cook for 2-3 mins
6. Next add the grated coconut and futher cook for 2-3 minutes.
7. Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
8. Serve hot with rice or neer dosa.
