The yogurt based marinade is a traditional Indian Marinade. The acid in the yogurt works to tenderize the meat. The flavours will be best if the chicken sits in the yogurt mixture for atleast 4-5 hrs. As this creates the magic required. This Yummy chicken is my son's favourite dish.
Ingredients :
1 Kg Chicken
1 cup plain hung thick yogurt
2 tblsp ginger garlic paste
1 tblsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tblsp Everest chicken masala
2 tsp crushed kasoori methi
salt to taste
Method :
1. Clean wash the Chicken and drain off water completely.
2. In a bowl mix the yogurt, ginger garlic paste and all the dry spices to make a smooth paste.
3. Pour this mixture over the cleaned chicken and mix well. Let it marinade for atleast 4-5 hours.
4. Before cooking add in the salt as per your taste.
5. Heat butter in a kadai, add the chicken.. cover with a lid and cook over medium heat till the chicken is tender and the masala has completely coated the chicken.
6. Serve with onion rings and coriander leaves sprinkled on top.
7. Serve hot with rice and dal or tomato saar.
