DARK CHOCOLATE WALNUT FUDGE

Chocolate walnut Fudge is much healthier than traditional sugar-laden fudge, it subtly sweet, full of heart-healthy fats and antioxidants, and still super satisfying when a chocolate craving hits. Dark chocolate is loaded with nutrients and one of the best source of antioxidants on the planet. walnuts contain omega-3 fatty acids coupled with iodine & selenium which ensures optimum brain functioning. Walnuts are also considered as power food as they improve stamina.
As a kid I myself was a mad fan of lonavala chocolate walnut fudge...now my two kids cannot resist their temptation for this fudge. My son's birthday falls on the eve of Christmas so every year it's a ritual to celebrate his birthday with my chocolate walnut fudge.

Ingredients :

1 cup sugar
50 gms cocoa pd.
1 tin condensed milk (I used Nestle)
1 cup walnuts broken roughly
1 tsp butter

Method :

1. In a thick bottomed non-stick pan mix butter, cocoa pd. and sugar with the condensed milk. Heat on a low flame.
2. Stir continuously till mixture thickens.
3. Lower the heat further and stir in the broken walnuts. Turn off the heat.
4. Transfer the mixture onto the greased tray and spread evenly.
5. Cool in the refrigerator for 2-3 hrs.
6. Then cut to square shapes and serve.

But in my family my version of chocolate walnut fudge is different. Everybody likes it in a semi solid state. So we scoop it with spoon in fancy dessert  bowls.
