HOT & TANGY DRAGON CHICKEN

Dragon Chicken is a contemporary, easy, spicy, tangy & tasty Indo Chinese dish. This fusion dish goes well with any Asian rice preparation/ fried rice or noodles..or can also be served as an appetizer.This dish can be made very spicy...but ofcourse you can alter the spice level accordingly.
Here Chicken strips are marinated, fried and sauteed in a spicy and tangy sauce ... you are going to love this. It is a recipe which will make your tummy twirl.

Ingredients :

1/2 kg boneless chicken breast (long strips)
1 tblsp garlic chopped
1 tsp ginger chopped
2 dry red chillies broken/ 1-2 tsp red chilli flakes
1 large onion sliced long
1 large Capsicum sliced long
2-3 Green onions/ onion leaks
few split cashewnuts (fried)
3-4 tblsp tomato sauce
1 tblsp soya sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
salt to taste
oil as required

For marination :
1 tblsp ginger garlic paste
1 egg
1 tsp black pepper pd.
1 tblsp soya sauce
1 tblsp red chilli paste
2 tblsp corn starch
salt to taste

Method :

1. Marinate the chicken strips with the above mentioned marination ingredients for half an hour.
2. Heat oil and deep fry the marinated chicken till golden and crispy. Drain on absorbent paper and set aside.
3. Next heat 2-3 tblsp oil in a non-stick wok/ pan on medium flame. Add chopped ginger and garlic and saute.
4. Add in the broken chillies/ chilly flakes and saute.
5. Now add the sliced onions, chopped spring onion and capsicum and toss well....later add the sauces, sugar & salt and mix well.
6. When the sauce thickens or comes to a slight boil add in the fried chicken strips and let cook till the chicken is well coated with the sauce.
7. Your Dragon chicken is ready. Garnish with fried cashewnuts and chopped spring onion greens.
8. Serve hot with chicken/ veg fried rice or noodles or as a starter.
