This is one of the most easy and delicious ways of preparing chicken in Indian style. It is very simple and very easy to make. It taste great with rice, biryani, roti, paratha or neer dosa. It's super tasty too .... by the time I’m done I’ve got my family drooling from the smell in the kitchen. It’s awesome! This recipe can be easily customized to feed as many or as little people as you need.
That’s part of what makes this recipe so awesome! You can also use whatever cut of chicken you’d like.... Chicken breasts, chicken thighs, or even wings are all delicious with this recipe. Ingredients :
For marination :
3-4 chicken drumsticks
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Juice of 1 lime
2-3 tblsp thick curd
1-2 tblsp oil
salt to taste
--------------------------
1 small onion chopped finely
1 small tomato grated
1.5 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp tandoori chicken masala
1 tblsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tblsp fresh cream
1 tsp butter
Method :
1. Wash, clean and drain the chicken drumsticks. Using a sharp knife, make slashes on the drumsticks ... as this helps the marinade to penetrate inside.
2. Toss the drumsticks with the marinade and set aside for an hour or more.
3. In a pan melt the butter. Saute the chopped onion until translucent, now add the grated tomatoes. Saute the tomatoes. Place the marinated chicken drumsticks one by one.
4. Add the dry spices, 1/2 tsp salt and saute well till the chicken is well coated with all the spices.
5. Add the fresh cream & cover the pan with a lid and let cook on medium to low flame. Let the chicken cook in its own juices .... approx. 35-40 minutes.
6. When it is perfectly roasted, garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
7. Serve hot with plain rice, biryani or roti.
