Prawns are every seafood lovers favourite. It is a simple yet very tempting dish made with prawns ... marinated in a simple battered paste and deep fried until golden in colour. These delicious golden fried prawns are a great appetizer snack for any occasion and meal. It's a great party food too and especially a big hit with children. You will notice it disappearing fast at any party. So do make sure to make enough. Prawn is rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin B12 ... rich in nutrition and most people enjoy eating prawns.
Ingredients :
30-40 medium size Prawns cleaned & deveined
5 tblsp Cornflour
5-6 tblsp Refined flour/ maida
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp soya sauce
1-2 tsp green chilli sauce
1-2 tsp white pepper powder
4-5 tsp red chilli powder
salt to taste
Breadcrumbs for coating
Oil for deep frying
Method :
1. Mix flour and all ingredients (except breadcrumbs and oil) in a bowl.
2. Add little water to make a thick batter.
3. Add in the Prawns and let marinate for half an hour.
4. Heat oil for deep frying the Prawns .... coat the prawns lightly with breadcrumbs and deep fry until crisp and golden in colour.
5. Remove, drain onto an absorbent kitchen towel or tissue.
6. Golden Fried Prawns is a tasty seafood dish, that goes well with Rice, French fries, Sauteed vegetables and lime wedge with a sprig of parsley.
