This Chilli prawn recipe is one of those dishes that is very quick to cook once everything is cutup and kept ready in advance. According to me Chinese cuisine is easy, wholesome, economical, balanced & delicious....and hence very popular all over the world ... as can be adapted to any local fusion.
The recipe is wonderful way to bring out tropical memories into your home along with goodness of prawns.
Ingredients :
300-400 gms medium size prawns
1 large onion chopped fine
2 green chilli chopped fine
3 medium tomatoes chopped fine
3 soaked dry red chillies paste
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp red chilli sauce
2 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp tomato sauce
1 tsp vinegar
1/2 tsp pepper powder (optional)
salt to taste
2 tblsp oil
2 spring onion greens chopped
Method :
1. Clean and devein the prawns and keep aside.
2. Heat 2-3 tblsp oil in a wok or pan and saute the chopped onion and green chillies over medium heat till the onions are golden brown.
3. Now add ginger garlic paste & red chilli paste and saute for a while. Later add the chopped tomatoes and cook till they are soft.
4. Add all the sauces & spices one by one. Combine well.
5. Add the prawns and mix well until all the prawns are well coated with the sauce.
6. Cook for 3-4 minutes and then switch off the flame.
7. Garnish with chopped spring onion greens and slit green chilli.
8. Serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
